He left us just as we were truly just getting to appreciate him.
I am so lost without him and there was so much I didnt get to say.
I love Anton Perkins.  He was my best friend.  I miss him now, and forever.
Love on behalf of the Great Chef
He was a good man and always will be.  We will miss him and celebrate him.
Words cannot begin to describe how much I appreciate and love Anton.  He was such a good man, very kind, gentle and loving.  He was Papa Anton to the boys.  He has left a foot print on our hearts. Anton, there is so much I wish I could say to you.  I hope you're resting in peace.  God Bless.
Dear Anton, I'll miss you forever. Steven
Papa Anton, I love you. Mathew
The Departure of a Human Soul

Sometime at eve when the tide is low
I shall slip my moorings and sail away,
With no response to the friendly hail
Of kindred craft in the busy bay.
In the quiet hush of the twilight pale
When the night stoops down to embrace the day
And voices call in the water's flow,
Sometime at eve when the tide is low
I shall slip my moorings and sail away.

The purple shadows that darkly trail
O'er the ebbing tide of the unknown seas,
I shall fare me away with the dip of a sail
And a ripple of water to tell the tale
Of a lonely voyager sailing away
To mystic isles where at anchor lay
The crafts of those who have sailed before,
O'er the unknown seas to the unknown shore.

A few who have watched me sail away
Will miss my craft from the busy bay;
Some friendly barks that have anchored near
In silent sorrow will drop a tear.
But I shall have peacefully furled my sail
In moorings sheltered from storm and gale,
And greeted friends who have sailed before,
O'er the unknown seas to the unknown shore.

When I heard about what happened to Anton I thought I didnt have the energy to move on. But then I remembered how strong Anton was and he never gave up on us, so I am trying to do the same.

Anton was a father to me, he cared for all of us. He picked me and my sister up from school everyday, he cooked and cleaned, sorted clothes and washed dishes. He was a hard worker and never gave up. Whenever we would ask him to do something he would say "Not a problem" I would alway ask him, "Anton, whats there to eat?" he would answer back " Air pudding darling" He would always mess around with me and play with me outside.

Anton helped everyone. All he did was work, work and work. When he was sick and there was a job to be done, or someone needed help, he was always there. When one of our family members were stuck or confused he was always there by their side. He never let us down. He held a big family together. Anton would always try to make us happy by introducing us to a new receipe or fixing something. He was always by my side supporting me in sports. He would always teach me more about the game of Basketball.

He would encourage me to get good grades in school. Anton played a big part in this family. I think that God put him on this earth to do a mission and that mission was to help everyone.

His mission was completed on March 30, 2008 and God took him because he needed him in heaven. He will always be hear in spirit. From being sick,to headaches, broken arm, spider bite on his eye, I feel that no one is as strong as Anton. I love him and I wish to follow in his footsteps. Love Dayna

Anton, may the Angels watch over you like you watched over all of us. I miss you now and forever. Love Barbara

God morning! Chef Anton Perkins passed away Sunday playing basketball. Very sad news. He was one of my dearest and closest Brothers. He knew something about everything! Truly he was gifted and sent from God in his service heart and dedication life to all! He was the real deal.
"Not a problem" was his mantra. Not a problem. To the Chef, nothing was ever a problem. I playfully called him Saucy Saucy Chef Anton Perkins. He called me Sexy Man. He was about to start his own company with his hot new products.

We also loved the idea of a TV show entitled "Soul Kitchen". The Chef in the soul kitchen with my band and special guest with a live audience. Hot and fun! The Great Chef will be deeply missed. He has a son in Pittsburgh and a beautiful Mother. Friends and family abound as his love knew no bounds. And I can personally say he has helped me serve two of my Big Birthday Bashes as well as countless others.

And on a personal note helped me to recognize to be fearless, cause Its not a problem. Party hearty Chefie Chef! My Brother David Dragon Hayles first introduced us and I thank him as well. Also his Beloved family who helped him run his Bourbon Street Catering Co we love and adore, especially  Dayna, the Beautiful Basketball star!  We love you all so!

Our loss is heavens gain.  My God welcome you with a feast - one that you don't have to prepare for a change!

He was a master of soul food
And kept a beautiful mood

This man I'm writing about
Was one magnificent dude
He was special in every way
He was a man who loved to pray
The king of making peoples day
Because he had wonderful things to say

He was a jack of all trades
And a master of many
And if you were in need of inspiration
He would bless you with plenty
He was quick with his hands
And fast on his feet
In the great art of catering
No one on earth could compete

He had the ultimate love for living
A legendary style of giving
He was knowledgeable about so much
And the first to show up in the clutch
Every time he was near
He gave us kindness and his ear
And because he was here
Love and life we endeer

He loved Louisiana to the core
Loved his family even more
Had the courage to explore
And his gumbo would grab you at the door
He'd make you laugh
You best believe
There was no intellegence
He could not conceive
He had marvelous friends
From coast to coast
He's a man we will always
Admire most

Yes this great guy from the south
Was a most phenomenal human being
When you looked at Anton Perkins
It was God's love you that were seeing

Thank you Anton for your great friendship and brotherhood
